Pool Rules
- Showers must be taken prior to entering the pool.
- Bathing suits are required. No cut-offs or street clothes are allowed in the pool.
- No swimming without a lifeguard on duty.
- No running on the pool deck.
- No diving on the shallow end.
- No back jumps, back dives, or flips of any kind.
- Bubbles are for swimmers only. They are to be used in the shallow end only.
- Hair should be pulled up if shoulder length or longer.
- No band-aids or bandages may be worn in the pool.
- No profanity or ill tempered behavior towards other members or YMCA staff will be tolerated.
- No glass containers.
- No food.
LAP SWIM POLICY
- Limit of three swimmers per lane.
- Swimming is counter clockwise. Up the right and down the left of the lane.
- Individual time limit is 30 minutes.
- If no one is waiting to use the pool, swimmers may stay in longer.
- The Lifeguard may assist swimmers, to determine appropriate lane placement, and remind them of their time in the pool.
- Individuals 13 years and under need to obtain the Aquatic Director's approval in order to participate in Lap Swim
RECREATIONAL SWIM POLICY
- No Lap Swimming.
- Pool can accommodate a maximum of 20 swimmers.
- Children 6 years and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult.
- Children 13 years and under must be accompanied in the facility by an adult.
- No diapers may be worn in the pool, unless they are designed for swimming.
- Relax and enjoy!
SWIMMING LESSON POLICY
- The pool will be closed to Lap Swimming and Recreational Swimming during scheduled swimming lessons.
- Participants are required to pre-register for all lessons.
- Participants may only attend the class for which they have registered.
- Only chaperones, parents and participants are allowed on pool deck during swim lessons.
