Preschooler Swimming

Parent and Child

Infants 6 to 35 months The new swimmer is accompanied by a parent or responsible adult in the water. The primary focus is water adjustment. Introduction to basic skills including: kicking, breath control, and holding positions are introduced. Children should wear swim diapers or rubber pants. (Water temp. (84-86F)

Pike with Parent

Ages 2.5 - 4 years
A transition from the Parent/Child class into our Pre-School program, the Pike w/ Parent class is conducted similar to a PIKE class. Freestyle and backstroke fundamentals are taught. This is not a water adjustment class. Children should be familiar with the water and be able to blow bubbles. Parents accompany their swimmer into the pool and play an active role instructing their child.

Preschool Swimming Lessons

Ages 3 to 5 years
Swimming and safety skills are taught in a group setting. Parents do not accompany their swimmer into the pool; however they are welcome and encouraged to stay and observe all classes. Each class is divided into smaller sub groups according to ability.
